Night

Go forth into dreamland

and cast off life as a sin

Where reality ends

and a new life begins.

Where the choice can be yours

As the clock, it still ticks

The rabbit hole or the potion

Pick one Alice, pick.

It only takes a second to fall

into the world that you crave

Or one which you cry

As though trapped in a grave

This journey we take

Many twists ’round the bend

As each night we embrace

Our world, at reality’s end

Endgame

Beneath the action adventure sci-fi plot and some good special effects is a story that resonates with our world, as it exists now. In the real world we build walls, create “factions” propagating division, but all that facade is nothing more than trying to attain control. What is the real goal, what is at the finish line in all of that? Peace? No.

Peace, and dare I say harmony starts from within…and no amount of legal papers, politicians, army’s wars or money will ever ‘realize’ that peace for us.

When you strip all those things away, and stop trying to measure our successes and failures by society’s material standards, we will find that peace.

And if you think it can’t be that way, who told you that? And why?

Free typing for five minutes: Fear

Fear is a mother fucker.

Sometimes it stops us from doing things that we really want to do. Sometime it stops us from being the person we want to be. In balance, a good healthy dose of fear can be helpful but when we allow it to run our lives, it can be crippling.

It can come at anytime, in any situation and can make a person feel like they can’t do anything. It’s a bad feeling to have, especially when it sucks the energy from you but you want to accomplish so much.

I am not a fan of fear.

Even though I am not afraid of a lot of things, it’s feels as though I am afraid of the things that can make the most difference in my life.

I wish that we could all realize the truth in the saying, “There’s nothing to fear, but fear itself.”
